About Nidhi Jain, Founder

I am Nidhi Jain, the founder of Whiz Learning Kids. I completed my education at Delhi University in India where I received my Bachelors degree in Physics and Masters in Computer Applications. Shortly after, I moved to the United States for opportunities to advance my career, but after working for 12 years as a software engineer at NCR, I had to quit my job in the summer of 2009 due to personal reasons. This was the first time I would be spending the summer at home with two sons, who were of ages 9 and 4.

I found that we had a lot of time on our hands and not much to do, so I started to seek out ways to occupy the hours in an engaging, educational manner with my children. I came across one program offered at Georgia Tech in which students learned how to use software called Scratch to help develop basic coding skills. However, driving my young children to the campus daily seemed to be unfeasible, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and taught myself how to use the software. As I started to teach my son how to use it, I watched his interest grow every single day. It was a beautiful experience to be able to see my efforts spark such a passion in a young soul.

Soon, some nearby friends started to send their children each week to learn these coding skills as well, and my husband set up a projector in our basement to help me demonstrate how to work Scratch to the children. It was exhilarating to see young children so eager to put their minds to work in order to learn. The following school year, I approached my son's principal and offered to run this educational program for free for one semester. As I continued to teach, I also continued to learn more about which methods are the most effective when trying to engage such a young audience. At the end of the semester, the response from the parents was overwhelming and inspired me to expand this program. We have grown from one school to about 7 now and we are very passionate about what we teach.

Our team is highly qualified and shares a collective passion for making learning fun, interactive, and collaborative. We are very proud of differentiated teaching and individualized attention provided to each student. We like to view our as program disguised learning as the students don't even feel like they are learning - they think they are having fun!
